Beachwear Becomes Haute Couture at Palazzo dei Giureconsulti

Golden textures, three-dimensional embroidery and jewel-like details: the maison brings a new vision of couture beachwear to the Milan runway

Milan, Palazzo dei Giureconsulti - Sometimes a fashion show does more than simply present a collection. It creates an atmosphere, sets a rhythm and leaves behind a sequence of images that lingers in the mind long after the runway lights have gone out. That is exactly what happened at Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, in the heart of Milan, where Pin-Up Stars presented its vision of swimwear as part of GX Fashion Week, transforming beachwear into a narrative of light, texture, movement and seduction.

The new collection, designed by the eclectic Jerry Tommolini - the creative force and founder behind the maison established in Bologna in 1995 together with Alessandra Clò - brought to life a runway show with all the hallmarks of a true haute couture spectacle. It was a choice that reaffirmed Pin-Up Stars' vocation for pushing beyond the conventional boundaries of swimwear and transforming it into something more intricate, precious and refined.

This philosophy has been part of the brand's identity since its very beginnings. On the international fashion scene, Pin-Up Stars has distinguished itself as one of the first brands to take swimwear from the world of knitwear into the realm of high-end tailoring, introducing techniques capable of radically changing the very perception of beachwear. Three-dimensional embroidery, semi-precious stones, exclusive prints and constructions designed around the body have become part of an instantly recognisable aesthetic language.

Under Tommolini's creative direction, enriched by the creativity and sensitivity of Cinzia Perulli, this exploration continues to evolve through a precise balance between innovation and craftsmanship. On one side, technological research applied to materials and fabrics; on the other, meticulous craftsmanship that is rigorously 100% Made in Italy. Two dimensions that come together to transform each piece into a fashion object designed not merely to be worn, but to express a personality.

At the heart of it all remains the Pin-Up Stars woman: strong, emancipated, free, and fully aware of her body and her desires. A hedonistic woman in the truest sense of the word, who chooses fashion as a form of self-expression rather than mere ornamentation.

GX Fashion Week

At Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, this vision found in GX Fashion Week a setting capable of amplifying its impact. The runway came alive with golden reflections, raised embroidered textures and jewel-like details, while light glided across the surfaces, following the movement of each garment. Materiality took centre stage, and every element seemed designed to transform with every step, following the body and capturing the eye.

Trikinis and bikinis interpreted this aesthetic through dynamic fringes, dreamlike botanical appliqués and daring cuts, enhancing the silhouette without sacrificing the sophistication that defines the maison's distinctive language. Sensuality was therefore not simply displayed, but carefully constructed through proportions, details and movement.

And the story did not end at the beach. Completing the collection were refined coordinating ready-to-wear pieces and fluid, lightweight kaftans, designed to accompany women throughout the day and into the evening. A natural continuity between sunlight and the glow of the most exclusive settings, where beachwear becomes part of a glamorous, sophisticated and thoroughly contemporary image.

GX Fashion Week

The runway at Palazzo dei Giureconsulti thus became a journey into the world of Pin-Up Stars, suspended between luxury, escape and seduction. A journey in which swimwear definitively sheds its purely functional dimension and claims a fully-fledged place within the fashion wardrobe.

The show was met with applause from an audience filled with industry professionals, influencers, members of the press and VIP guests. A response that once again highlighted the strength of a maison capable of building a distinctive and internationally recognisable aesthetic universe around beachwear.

With this new presentation, Pin-Up Stars reaffirms its role as a global trendsetter in luxury beachwear, demonstrating how Italian creativity, when combined with material research, experimentation and meticulous attention to detail, can continue to reinvent the very idea of contemporary elegance.

And in the heart of Milan, on the GX Fashion Week runway, Pin-Up Stars delivered one of the most powerful expressions of its philosophy: beachwear can be luxury, it can be innovation, it can be haute couture. It can even become desire - when every piece is shaped by a clear vision, a culture of craftsmanship and the ability to transform material into emotion.
