The journey began on 23 July at Glasgow's OVO Hydro, where athletes from Para and non-Para sports entered the arena together for the first time in Commonwealth Games history. That powerful symbol of inclusion set the tone for a Games defined by diversity, connection and unity.
Across athletics, swimming, cycling, rhythmic gymnastics, basketball and many other disciplines, audiences witnessed extraordinary achievements, unforgettable finishes and moments of resilience. At the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, Longines delivered comprehensive timekeeping, scoring and results services across multiple venues and disciplines through an operation involving 24 kilometres of cabling, 150 Longines timekeeping specialists, 105 volunteers and technical officials, and more than 103 tonnes of equipment representing 555 m3 of operational infrastructure.
In athletics and para-athletics, the Longines Electronic Starting System (E - gun) ensured perfectly synchronised starts, while the Longines Photo-Finish-Scanner Ultra captured up to 40,000 digital lines per second to determine results with exceptional precision. In swimming and para-swimming, Longines touchpad technology converted athletes' finishes into exact time measurements, while photo-finish, transponder and Real-Time Tracking Systems, together with next-generation graphics solutions, supported cycling competitions and enhanced the experience for officials, broadcasters and spectators.
Yet behind every technology stood the same objective: ensuring every athlete received the recognition their performance deserved.
Longines House: Where Time, Sport and People Came Together
While competition unfolded across Glasgow’s sporting venues, another story was being written at the heart of the city.
Throughout the Games, Longines House became a place where athletes, media, partners and guests gathered to share experiences, celebrate achievements and reflect on the moments that define sport. Located at The Collector’s Hall at the AC Marriott Hotel, Longines House welcomed hundreds of visitors throughout 11 days of Games. Many explored the Longines Timekeeping Heritage Exhibition, discovering how nearly two centuries of innovation have shaped the brand’s enduring relationship with sport and its pursuit of precision.
From historic timing instruments to the advanced systems operating behind the scenes at Glasgow 2026, visitors experienced how precision has evolved while remaining dedicated to the same purpose: honouring athletic performance with fairness and accuracy.
The experience extended through the Longines Pop-Up at Scotstoun Stadium and the Longines Boutique on Buchanan Street, offering further opportunities to engage with the brand’s heritage and long-standing commitment to sport.
To celebrate the brand's enduring partnership with the Commonwealth Games, Longines unveiled the HydroConquest 2026 Commonwealth Games Special Edition, available in 39 mm and 42 mm sizes and limited to 2,026 pieces per version - a tomepice chaped by the Spirit of tha Games.
Inspired by the visual identity of Glasgow 2026, the watch features a distinctive teal gradient dial symbolising movement, momentum and the journey from anticipation to achievement, reflecting values shared by Longines and the Commonwealth Gamed for more than sixty years.
