Manooi Discover Onyx

A Material that Creates Atmosphere

Every Manooi onyx creation begins with a unique natural stone, shaped by distinctive veining and natural translucency. In this edition, we invite you behind the scenes to explore how raw onyx is transformed into sculptural lighting and soft, atmospheric illumination.

Behind the Scenes: How It's Made

Creating Manooi's signature onyx globes is a meticulous process where natural material, craftsmanship, and engineering come together. Each piece begins with carefully selected onyx, chosen for its translucency, structural integrity, and distinctive veining. The stone is precision-cut, reinforced, and shaped through a combination of advanced CNC technology and hand craftsmanship. Careful sanding and polishing then reveal the material’s luminous depth and organic patterns. Once illuminated, the onyx radiates a soft, atmospheric glow, bringing its natural beauty to life.

Explore the Collection

From minimal pendants to expressive sculptural compositions, the Onyx Collection showcases the versatility of illuminated onyx across seven distinct lighting designs. Varying in scale, shape, and light diffusion, each model offers a unique presence while adapting effortlessly to both residential and contemporary interiors. As a natural material, onyx features distinctive veining patterns, ensuring that no two luminaires are ever exactly alike. The smaller models – Aura, Io, Moonset, and Moonrise – feature warm 2700 K illumination, while selected Jewel Suspended and Jewel Ceiling compositions can be customized with adjustable 2700 K–5000 K LED systems.

Minimal Form. Maximal Impact

Placed within refined contemporary interiors, Manooi’s onyx creations demonstrate how pure geometry and natural materials can shape the atmosphere of a space. Whether used as a subtle architectural accent or a sculptural centerpiece, the softly illuminated stone brings warmth, depth, and a calm visual presence to modern interiors.
