Drawing on nearly a century of aviation heritage, Longines expands its Spirit collection with four new time- pieces for 2026: two new Longines Spirit Pilot watches and two new Longines Spirit Pilot Flyback chronographs. United by a striking blue aesthetic, these latest additions are all COSC-certified chronometers, highlighting the precision demanded by aviation while remaining faithful to the collection’s flight-inspired DNA.

Four New Blue Expressions of the Pioneering Spirit

Blending authentic pilot-watch design with con- temporary watchmaking innovation, these new models embody the pioneering spirit that has inspired Longines since its earliest involvement in aviation, nearly a century ago. Designed for modern explor- ers on land and in the air, they offer exceptional precision, reliability and versatility in a distinctive new colourway.

Longines has long accompanied some of history’s greatest aviation pioneers, including Amelia Earhart, Elinor Smith, and Richard Byrd, among many others. From transatlantic flights to polar expeditions, the Swiss watchmaker has created precision instru- ments capable of performing in the most demanding conditions. Introduced in 2020, the Spirit collection celebrates these extraordinary men and women while bringing Longines’ rich aviation heritage into the present day.

For 2026, the Spirit family welcomes four new references distinguished by matt blue dials and complemented by a stainless-steel bracelet with a micro-adjustable folding clasp or a high-quality Swiss-made blue rubber strap. On the Flyback models, a blue ceramic bezel further enhances the collection’s contemporary appeal. Together, these novelties represent a refined evolution of Longines’ modern pilot-watch concept, uniting elegance, func- tionality and technical excellence.

Longines Spirit Pilot

Launched in 2025 as an extension of the Spirit collection, the Spirit Pilot draws on Longines’ rich aeronautical heritage while introducing a refined interpretation of the modern pilot’s watch.

Now, the collection welcomes a blue three-hand iteration that remains faithful to its roots while embracing a contemporary aesthetic.

The Longines Spirit Pilot features a 39 mm stainless- steel case with improved ergonomics, enhancing both comfort and visual appeal. The watch is distin- guished by a striking matt blue dial that combines contemporary style with the uncompromising legibility expected of an authentic pilot watch. A refined minute track enhances clarity, while silvered hands and applied Arabic numerals create a strong contrast for optimal readability in all conditions.

This pilot watch is powered by the Longines-exclusive calibre L888.4, featuring a silicon balance-spring and innovative components that provide magnetic resistance up to ten times greater than the ISO 764 standard. The self-winding mechanical move- ment delivers exceptional precision with up to 72-hours power reserve and carries official COSC chronometer certification, ensuring reliability worthy of professional aviators.

The case features a screw-in crown and screw- down case back, ensuring water resistance up to 10 bar (100 metres) and reliable performance in demanding environments.

The Spirit Pilot offers a choice of a stainless-steel bracelet with a folding clasp featuring micro- adjustment or a high-quality Swiss-made blue rubber strap. Combining comfort, durability and a sporty aesthetic, the rubber strap is designed for modern adventurers on land and in the air. Both options are equally suited to life in the cockpit and on the ground.

Longines Spirit Pilot Flyback

At the heart of the Spirit line stands the Longines Spirit Pilot Flyback, a testament to the brand’s pioneering role in flyback chronograph develop- ment. This sophisticated timepiece celebrates a technology pioneered by Longines in the early 1930s, culminating in the filing of its groundbreaking flyback chronograph patent in 1935.

The new Spirit Pilot Flyback is housed in a refined 39.5 mm stainless-steel case, measuring just 13.4 mm thick for a sleek and comfortable profile. The watch features a striking blue dial paired with a bidirec- tional rotating bezel incorporating a blue ceramic insert and countdown timer. This sophisticated monochromatic execution delivers a fresh interpre- tation of the pilot chronograph while preserving the distinctive aesthetic of vintage aviation instruments.

Silvered hands and applied Arabic numerals treated with Super-LumiNova® ensure exceptional visibility while honouring the functional requirements that made pilot watches essential cockpit tools. The box-shaped sapphire crystal further reinforces the watch’s aviation-inspired appeal.

Powering this exceptional chronograph is the Longines-exclusive hand-wound calibre L792.4, visible through the transparent screw-down case back. Equipped with a silicon balance-spring and advanced components that provide superior magnetic resistance, the movement also features a column-wheel chronograph mechanism with flyback function, delivering the precision timing capabilities that define professional aviation instruments.

COSC-certified as a chronometer, the movement offers a power reserve of up to 68 hours and represents the pinnacle of Longines’ mechanical watchmaking expertise. The transparent case back reveals the movement’s refined architecture and finishing, highlighting the craftsmanship behind this sophisticated chronograph.

Water-resistant up to 10 bar (100 metres), the Spirit Pilot Flyback combines robust performance with exceptional precision.
