Kerbedanz Kerbedanz joins the Carré des Horlogers for its first participation at Watches and Wonders 2027

Kerbedanz is pleased to announce its first participation at Watches and Wonders Geneva, joining the Carré des Horlogers for the 2027 edition of the Salon, taking place in Geneva from April 5 to 11, 2027. The announcement comes during a particularly symbolic month for the independent Swiss Haute Horlogerie Maison, as Kerbedanz celebrates its 15th anniversary, fifteen years after its foundation in Neuchâtel in September 2011 by Kalust Zorik and Aram Petrosyan. More than participation in an international watchmaking exhibition, Kerbedanz’s entry into Watches and Wonders represents the continuation of a journey that has progressively taken the Maison from confidential bespoke creations to the development of its own collections and, today, to a new phase of international expansion.

2011–2017: From Bespoke Creations to a Watchmaking Maison

When Kerbedanz was founded in 2011, its approach to watchmaking was deliberately confidential. The Maison initially dedicated itself exclusively to bespoke timepieces commissioned by collectors within the founders’ personal network. Unique pieces, one-off editions and highly personalized creations formed the foundations of Kerbedanz, allowing the Maison to develop its own creative language while working directly with collectors seeking watches conceived specifically for them. During these first years, there was no ambition to build a conventional collection. Instead, Kerbedanz developed its identity through individual projects, combining mechanical architecture, craftsmanship, symbolism and personal storytelling elements that remain part of the Maison’s creative vocabulary today. This first chapter established the foundations of the Maison: rarity, individuality and creative freedom.

2017–2025: Defining the Kerbedanz Signature

In 2017, Kerbedanz entered a second stage of its development. After several years devoted primarily to unique commissions, the co-founders introduced the Maison’s first collection with the ambition of giving a more visible and recognizable expression to the Kerbedanz identity. At the centre of this new chapter was the MAXIMUS, an uncompromising mechanical creation that would become one of the most emblematic expressions of the Maison. Developed in collaboration with Concepto, the MAXIMUS integrated a 27 mm tourbillon cage, powered by four barrels and incorporating two patents. Its dimensions made it the largest tourbillon ever integrated into a wristwatch, a record still held by Kerbedanz today and an achievement that perfectly illustrated the Maison’s appetite for unconventional mechanical architecture and horological audacity. From 2017 to 2025, Kerbedanz progressively developed its first collections while maintaining a deliberately selective approach. The watches continued to be offered primarily to the collectors and communities surrounding the founders, allowing the Maison to grow without abandoning the confidentiality that had characterized its beginnings.

From the End of 2025: Opening Kerbedanz to the World

At the end of 2025, Kerbedanz entered the third chapter of its development with the arrival of Vahé Vartzbed as CEO, entrusted with the mission of ensuring the long-term development and sustainability of the Maison. The objective is not to transform what Kerbedanz has been, but to build upon fifteen years of watchmaking heritage and introduce it to new communities of collectors around the world. This new phase is centred around two complementary ambitions: strengthening the international presence of the Maison and developing collections capable of expressing the Kerbedanz identity through contemporary proportions and increasingly distinctive watchmaking concepts. Recent creations such as the 65’27’’ 38 mm, the MAXIMA GR8 39 mm and the MAXSPOR GR8 41 mm embody this evolution. Different in their expression, they share the same intention: to introduce Kerbedanz to a new generation of collectors while preserving the mechanical creativity, strong design language, craftsmanship and rarity that have defined the Maison since its creation. Kerbedanz is consequently expanding its presence across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, progressively establishing a selective international network around markets and partners that share the Maison’s vision of independent Haute Horlogerie.

A Product Strategy Built Around Three Pillars

As part of this third stage of development, Kerbedanz has structured its product strategy around three complementary pillars, each expressing a different dimension of the Maison while remaining deeply connected to its origins.

Pillar 1 – Bespoke & Unique Creations

Kerbedanz continues to cultivate the historical pillar upon which the Maison was founded: unique pieces commissioned directly by collectors. Bespoke watchmaking remains an essential part of the Kerbedanz identity and continues to express the highest level of personalization, creative freedom and dialogue between the Maison and its collectors. Far from becoming a chapter of the past, this activity remains central to the reputation and singularity of Kerbedanz.

Pillar 2 – The Collections

The second pillar is built around the development of clearly identifiable collections, such as the 65’27’’ 38 mm, MAXIMA GR8 39 mm and MAXSPOR GR8 41 mm. These creations provide Kerbedanz’s authorized retailers around the world with a strong entry point into the Maison, allowing new collectors to discover its watchmaking savoir-faire, mechanical creativity and design language, and ultimately to enter the Kerbedanz universe. They also provide the foundation upon which the Maison can progressively build its international presence.

Pillar 3 – The Designer’s Vision

The third pillar gives Aram Petrosyan, co-founder and Chief Design Officer of Kerbedanz, a territory of almost unrestricted creative expression. These creations allow the designer to unleash a more instinctive, unexpected and sometimes extravagant side of the Maison, watches where imagination is deliberately given greater freedom than convention. Produced in highly limited numbers, these pieces are primarily conceived for existing Kerbedanz collectors, offering them access to the most personal and uncompromising expression of Aram Petrosyan’s creative vision.

Together, these three pillars create a balanced product architecture: preserving the bespoke heritage that built the Maison, creating collections capable of introducing Kerbedanz to new audiences, and protecting a space for pure creative freedom. This approach allows Kerbedanz to expand internationally without diluting the rarity, individuality and audacity that have defined the Maison since 2011.

Watches and Wonders : Building the Future

Kerbedanz’s first participation at Watches and Wonders represents a natural milestone in this transformation. Joining the Carré des Horlogers gives the Maison the opportunity to present its universe within the leading international platform for contemporary watchmaking and to engage with collectors, retailers, media and industry professionals from around the world. For Kerbedanz, the objective goes beyond visibility. The participation reflects the Maison’s ambition to consolidate and legitimize its presence within the landscape of Swiss Haute Horlogerie, while remaining faithful to the independence and creative freedom that have guided it since 2011. Watches and Wonders is therefore not simply another step in the Maison’s expansion. It is the platform from which Kerbedanz intends to build the next chapter of its future.
